- Driving on the left. Cayman drives on the left, so UK visitors usually find it easy. Roundabouts are common.
- Time difference. Cayman is 5 hours behind UK time in winter and 6 hours behind during British Summer Time, because Cayman does not change its clocks.
- Currency. US dollars are accepted everywhere, and the local dollar is pegged at CI$1 = US$1.20.
- British heritage. The Cayman Islands are a British Overseas Territory.
